Veronica Fusaro
Just like a sunset, the blend of Veronica Fusaro‘s words and music feel bittersweet. Thrilled about the falling of the night but sad about the leaving of the sun.
Influenced by the likes of Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse, Veronica first stepped into the spotlight in 2016 with her self-produced EP "Lost In Thought" by winning the "Demo of the Year" at the M4Music Festival. Out of over 400 shows she’s played, opening for Dire Straits legend Mark Knopfler and Eagle-Eye Cherry, playing Glastonbury and performing at the Swiss Music Awards mark a few highlights.
But Veronica wants more, she wants "All the Colors of the Sky", as her debut album is named. Fusaro unites different genres, combining crisp rhythms with melodies as sweeping as brushstrokes. The songs are worthy of a soundtrack, while remaining in the realm of the raw and simple; fresh and soulful. It’s handmade pop, whilst floating above the mainstream.
Veronica wrote most of this record in her basement studio, far away from noise and visual stimuli. It’s an optimistic album, a warm embrace for when life gets tough, where new beginnings trump endings. Or in the words of Veronica Fusaro: “In the black night sky already the dawn”.
