Vanille
Rachel Leblanc, alias Vanille, is a young Montreal singer-songwriter with an angelic voice. Inspired by 60's sunshine pop and Quebec garage rock, Vanille creates nostalgic songs with lovely melodies. The voice in the foreground, whose songs are in French, recalls sunny summers and early love. The artist's influences range from Margo Guryan to the Quebec group Les Lutins, favoring soft vocal melodies. Her upcoming album « La Clairière » is a powerful wink to french’s singer/songwriter tradition with a peculiar attach to medieval and baroque esthetics.
