Edinburgh experimental five-piece Redolent have recently shared their anticipated EP ‘make big money fast online now’ via Columbia Records. Their 5-tracker arrives alongside new single and video ‘Death In The Family’ placing Redolent as one of 2023’s most promising new bands.

Fronted by brothers Danny and Robin Herbert, alongside drummer Andrew Turnbull, bassist Robbie White and Alice Hancock on live samplers, ‘make big money fast online now’ doubles down on Redolent’s perfect hybrid of electronic and indie. A suite of deep spacious synths, stretched across ambient loops and alt-pop production lays the architecture for frontman Robin’s distinctly evocative vocal and idiosyncratic lyrics.

‘make big money fast online now’ stamps Redolent’s sound while sitting at the intersection of some of their musical influences Mount Kimble, king krule, brockhampton, LCD soundsystem, Madvillain, Tom Vek, Clairo, Talking Heads yet, still hues more closely to their contemporaries than their influences. It's a sound that has seen Redolent already gain praise from titles including NME, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, DIY, Hunger, The Skinny and more, alongside being named in this year's NME100.
