Dana Gillespie is a multi-talented artist with a wide range of skills, including singing, songwriting, acting, broadcasting, and storytelling. Her extraordinary life and achievements have earned her the title of the UK's Queen of the Blues.

Music has been a central part of Dana's life since her teenage years. In 1964, she became friends with David Bowie (then Jones), and they inspired each other's songwriting talents. One of Bowie's compositions, "Andy Warhol," appeared on Dana's third album, Weren't Born A Man.

Dana was among the few female artists in the UK who wrote and recorded their songs as teenagers, a remarkable feat. She was also a member of the original London cast of two major musicals, Catch My Soul and Jesus Christ Superstar. Additionally, she collaborated with prominent session singers like Elton John, David Byron, and Madeline Bell.

Currently, Dana is gearing up to showcase her 73rd album, "73: Live at The Tam," at SXSW. The album will not be accessible on mainstream platforms such as Spotify until summer 2023. Instead, it will be available as an exclusive NFT collection on Opensea during SXSW 2023. For more info, visit https://www.tam.tv/people/artists/dana
