Originally from Giverny, the quartet recorded their first album “Salvation Prayer” in Portland, with Peter G. Holmstrom (The Dandy Warhols) as the producer.
In 2019, the band performed live, in Seattle for KEXP radio following the crush of its famous host Kevin Cole for this first opus.
At the end of 2021, Thousand Shadows vol.1 is released : Mythomaniac kings, the Mediterranean, the colors of mourning, these are the deleted subjects, between psychedelic pop, proto grunge and shoegaze. The first part of a powerful, reverberant, melodious second album drawing its inspiration and production from encounters between Normandy, New York and Oregon.
After defending it, during their European and American tours in 2022, You Said Strange announces the release of Thousand Shadows Vol.2 on April 28, 2023.
