Turito (they/them) is a Musician, DJ, and nightlife artist whose work moves freely through the realms of club theatre, music, and multimedia performance art. Their work explores themes of queer stigma, technology and “the online” through the sounds of hard dark rave beats and soft sound scapes with latin and pop punk vocals.
Last year, Turito was nominated for Best DJ of Austin and previously has received 3 Best of Austin Awards for their work in music and nightlife, including Best Queer Pop Princess. In 2018, Turito and main collaborator, p1nkstar, were presented as Austin’s caretakers of queer nightlife by The Austin Chronicle and were the cover of their PRIDE issue. In the past They have performed alongside Charli XCX, Crystal Waters, Alok V. Menon, Dorian Electra, UMRU, JD Samson, Jarina De Marco, San Cha and Zebra Katz.
