You Said Strange

Originally from Giverny, You Said Strange is made up of brothers Eliot and Martin Carrière and their childhood friends Hector Riggi and Matthieu Vaugelade. The quartet recorded their first album “Salvation Prayer” in Portland, with Peter G. Holmstrom (The Dandy Warhols) as the producer. Who they met while the young Normans were opening for them during the 2015 Dandy’s European tour. In 2019, the band performed live, in Seattle for KEXP radio following the crush of its famous host Kevin Cole for this first opus, discovered during a trip to Paris. At the end of 2021, the band released Thousand Shadows vol.1 : mythomaniac kings, the Mediterranean, the colors of mourning, these are the deleted subjects, between psychedelic pop, proto grunge and shoegaze to invent their own "Summer of love". A powerful, reverberant, melodious second album drawing its inspiration and production from encounters between Normandy, New York and Oregon.
Thousand Shadows Vol.2 will show up in April 2023.
