Punk outfit Pleasure Venom of Austin, TX, blasts audiences with a deluge of fierce femme-punk rock. In 2018, Afropunk named Pleasure Venom one of the Top 8 New Punk Bands on the Planet, and they showcased at SXSW in Spring 2019. The band caught the attention of Shirley Manson of Garbage, and they joined Garbage’s US tour in early Summer 2019 and toured the UK that fall. They opened for Against Me! in late 2019. After regrouping in 2020, the band entered 2021 with a bang, releasing two singles and playing Austin's LEVITATION. 2022 saw the band opening for the Spits and playing the Linda Perry EqualizeHER and Punk Black showcases during SXSW Festival, opening for Bikini Kill, and featuring on the “Queer as Folk” reboot. They performed at the 2022 ACL Festival and opened for L7 during LEVITATION, and released their debut LP Rebirth/Return in December. They have been featured in NME, Kerrang!, Alt-Press, Afropunk, and more. Lead vocalist Audrey Campbell was accepted into the Recording Academy in 2022.
