Housewife (formerly Moscow Apartment) continues to grow and evolve, and You’ll Be Forgiven represents a more experienced and sonically sophisticated iteration of the band. The album includes additional co-writes with Derek Hoffman and RALPH (I’m Spent), Hank Compton and Savannah Conley (Patrick Bateman) and Jackson Phillips of Day Wave (Bones (God Like You)), which helped refine the voice and sound of the burgeoning act. The new music follows the 2017 self-titled debut EP and follow-up 2020 EP Better Daughter.
Following the early success, Housewife signed to Hazel Street Records (Sony/Orchard), and takes fierce pride in writing music that seamlessly transitions between genres. Entrenched in queer activism, allyship and as a self-declared “opinionated feminist indie band”, Housewife exhibits an existential streak which manifests in both the music and social activism, including active involvement in the Canadian branch of Music Declares Emergency.
