Adwaith

Adwaith are Gwenllian, Hollie and Heledd, a post- punk band from Carmarthen, South West Wales. The band has had extensive radio plays, most noticeably on BBC Radio 1, KEXP, NPR, BBC Radio 6 (playlisted three times). Adwaith also recorded a BBC radio session for Huw Stephens in the legendary BBC studios at Maida Vale. They have also had a BBC 6 Music session for the Marc Riley show and have had festival appearance including Glastonbury, Latitude Festival, Green Man Festival, M for Montreal (Canada), BreakOut West (Canada) SUNS Europe festival (Italy), UU.Sound in Ulan-Ude (Russia), Rockaway Beach, SXSW, Eurosonic. Adwaith have toured the UK with Gwenno and supported The Manic Street Preachers and IDLES on arena shows in the last 12 months. They have headlined two UK wide tours themselves. In October 2018 the band released ‘Melyn’, their first album, that won the Welsh Music Prize 2019 award. Summer of 2022 the band released their second album ‘Bato Mato’ to rave reviews, this album also made history by being named the Welsh Music Prize record of 2022, the only time a band have won twice.
