Presented by Stand Together Trust

The United States spends approximately $80 billion annually in the criminal justice system; however, there remains an overarching presence of injustice at all levels. Beyond the well-known difficulties state and local governments face in economic recessions and the challenges of managing a public health emergency, leaders must also manage how to address the increasing upwell of mistrust among police and community members, budgets, and expectations. The murder of George Floyd and too many other individuals has proven that front-end reforms must happen alongside of community supported organizations. These esteemed guests will provide key insights on how their institutions and groups can analyze the benefits and costs of interventions designed to improve outcomes in the justice system.
