Devshi Mehrotra is the CEO and co-founder of JusticeText, a public-interest startup building software to increase accountability around police interactions. She received her BS/MS in computer science from the University of Chicago and her MS in global affairs from Tsinghua University through the post-graduate Schwarzman Scholars fellowship. She was recognized by the Obama Foundation as an active community leader for her contributions to advancing gender and racial equality in STEM education across Chicago. Shortly after graduating, she worked for the Government of Sierra Leone, advising the Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education on developing an ICT in education national plan.

Devshi has additionally worked as an artificial intelligence researcher at such institutions as Google Brain, Microsoft Research, DeepMind, Peking University, and Stanford Law. She has accumulated extensive experience applying deep learning algorithms to predict the progression of retinal diseases, train robotic agents, and perform natural language processing on legal corpora. She has been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 social entrepreneur, Westly Prize finalist, and Camelback Fellow.
