Women and the War on Drugs: A New Wave of CJR

The ‘War on Drugs’ has facilitated large-scale over-incarceration, impacted millions, and remains a multigenerational issue reaching the world stage. Leaders, influencers, and public servants are leading the charge to reshape our justice system by ending overcriminalization, providing data to drive better results, reducing recidivism, and working toward clemency and pardons for individuals affected by the ‘war’. Our panel will provide key insights on what long term solutions will need to be enacted to impact the future of criminal justice reform. Guests will be encouraged to discuss their dedicated priorities to promote equity and accountability in the criminal justice system and what opportunities they are helping to provide for individuals impacted by criminal conviction.
