What You, I and Anyone Can Do To Mitigate Climate Change: How regenerative hemp farmers are going to save humanity — in the bottom of the ninth — by sequestering carbon and building soil. This session opens with an optimistic “Goodbye Pacific Garbage Patch” message, as our speaker holds up a 3D printed image of one of his goats: Guess what? It’s grown from hemp! And anyone can contribute to this biomaterials renaissance. When a bear fleeing a wildfire killed all of our speaker’s goats and terrified his family, he set out to find whether one family can make a difference in humanity’s climate mitigation project. The answer? Yes, indeed. Grow hemp and other food crops, in your yard, on your roof, in community gardens. This session quantifies the tons of carbon even a small home garden sequesters.
