The creator economy has historically centered on platforms that require substantial follower volume and tremendous amounts of time spent to create a revenue stream. From YouTube and TikTok to podcasts and newsletters, the hustle has always been about “like & subscribe.”
That era of content is dead. Today, creators are winning by focusing on creating authentic relationships with smaller segments of their audience. This enables them to monetize in ways that don’t detract from community building or require a tremendous lift in terms of time spent like sharing their expertise in a cohort-based course.
In this session, Wes Kao will discuss how creators are killing the content monster by focusing on quality, not quantity, while creating meaningful relationships with their “100 true fans."
