Fairness for Black, Latinx & Female Entrepreneurs

While many cheered an unexpected boom in venture capital investment in startups 2020, access to that money was unevenly distributed. According to Crunchbase, of the record $161 billion in venture capital invested in the U.S. last year, low single-digit percentages went to Black, Latinx or female entrepreneurs. In this discussion, we will talk to leaders who are working to bring more diversity and equality to the startup ecosystem and explore why these seemingly entrenched disparities continue to exist, why these funding gaps are bad for business, and what can be done to make access to venture capital more equitable.
