Is a War Between Labels and Publishers Coming?

They don't want to talk about it... but many music publishers aren't happy with the "streaming revenue split" with record labels. It’s about a five-to-one split in favor of labels. But many indie publishers and songwriters (!) don’t only want to see change, they want a sea change. The debate raises a question: what makes a hit, the song or the singer? From the DJ picking hits to the DoJ making moves that threaten to change the status quo, we'll examine what's going on and what comes next?
