Athlete Activism: Using Sport for Social Good
When not playing goalkeeper for Austin FC, you can find Brad Stuver in the community. Whether finding new ways to pay for low-income family’s laundry at local laundromats, or penning op-eds in support of transgender participation in youth sports, or even performing as Mother Ginger in the Nutcracker at the Long Center, Brad is as deeply rooted in the community as the Club he represents. Joined on-stage by moderator Michael Lahoud – himself a former professional soccer player and member of the Sierra Leone national team – Brad will discuss how he uses his platform as a professional athlete to make a positive impact in the community he calls home.
