Women account for only 27 percent of C-suite positions in media and entertainment, but that’s slowly starting to change. The past few years have seen a broader trend of women taking lead roles in news organizations across the country at outlets like Axios, Reuters, MSNBC, Bon Appetit and Entertainment Weekly, and even on college campuses: all eight Ivy League student papers had female leadership in 2020. Hear from the women ushering in this new era of leadership in the world’s top newsrooms as they discuss how their perspective impacts coverage and newsroom operations, as well as what can be done to bring more women into C-suite positions.
