Defending Democracy: Attacks on Freedom to Vote
The 2020 Presidential election is behind us but attacks on the future of our democracy are escalating. State legislatures across the country are passing new laws that make it harder to vote and easier for bad actors to overturn future election results they disagree with, while efforts to deceive voters about the security and integrity of our democracy undermine the foundations of our country. This panel discussion, led by two figures serving on the front lines defending democracy — Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs — will summarize these and other growing threats and what all Americans can do to ensure democracy prevails. The panel will be moderated by Scott Nathan, voter protection lawyer and advisor to the Voter Protection Corps.
