A fun, interactive space celebrating DC’s unprecedented year of content across film, TV, publishing, games and consumer products. The experience will include authentic film and TV costumes and props, artwork highlighting DC’s publishing, games and animated series, new product giveaways, and lots of photo/social opps. Plus, see the Bat Mobile!

1:00 – 4:00pm - truTV Presents: Taste the Culture Screening and Cooking Demo by
Fast Foodies host Justin Sutherland
truTV MORE hosts a special event to preview its new digital series, Taste the Culture by Fast Foodies host Chef Justin Sutherland. Guests will be treated to screenings of Taste the Culture and Fast Foodies; a live cooking demonstration with Austin chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph of Canje; and ending the event with a panel discussion on intersection of diversity, food and culture between Chef Justin and Sabai Burnett moderated by Nadia Chaudhary of EATER Austin.

6:00 – 8:00pm - Celebrate the Premiere Screening of Brownsville Bred, written and directed by Elaine Del Valle, official selection at SXSW
Come celebrate the premiere screening of the coming-of-age story of Rosy, a young Latina girl, set in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Meet the cast and crew from the film. Enjoy a mix of authentic dishes from the island of Puerto Rico. Party to the music of Brooklyn in the 80s and 90s. Toast with Coquito Shots and Rum & Coke. Film director Elaine Del Valle will treat attendees to a special Brownsville Bred moment taken straight from the novel of the same title, along with a performance by Eddie Vazquez. First 100 Attendees get a copy of the novel!
