JELEEL! at Stubb’s

Date TBA

JELEEL!, born October 14, 1995, is an LA based artist who is changing our perception of pop and rap music through his infectious energy and genre-defying sound.

Basketball was JELEEL!’s primary focus growing up, but music was always an important part of his upbringing. JELEEL!’s artistic journey began in 2015, while he was in college at Loyola University. He quickly defined his sound, stemming from his own unique energy and a wide range of influences from Kid Cudi and DMX, to Sum 41 and his Nigerian roots. After finishing school, JELEEL! moved to LA to pursue music full time.

JELEEL! made his move with nothing, not a dollar, no family, only friends. In his words, “I just met up with a homie I knew and stayed with him for a month. I was homeless for about a year after that until I met my friend Versus who let me stay with him. I dropped my first project 'Angel From Heaven' two months after we moved in which I had written while I was homeless. From there, I finally had a foundation and somewhere safe to be, so I was able to focus and just really work on music and being the best version of myself as an artist and person."
