hemlock is the "phone-fi" bedroom folk project of swamp-raised musician Carolina Chauffe, currently based in Chicago, IL.

Their new album "talk soon", released on 3/11, is an interstate saga guided along by voicemails and spanning cross-country moves, reimagined relationships, and an ever-evolving idea of home. Often bare-boned and sometimes bittersweet, this is means-to-an-end modern-day folk art for the eager-hearted. A practice of gratitude to the here and now, swaying with rich sun-glinted harmonies and tender finger-picking.
