Sparoh at Stubb’s
Sparoh is an Atlanta-based artist fusing melodic trap and pop-punk to craft bangers reflecting her free-spirited, Black womanhood. Raised in the DMV on jazz, funk, and blues, Sparoh has always idolized greats like Joyce Kennedy, Betty Davis, and Tina Turner. By high school, her eclectic influences expanded to include the likes of Beyonce and Slipknot. After a stint in New York as a professional dancer, Sparoh migrated to Atlanta where she blended hard work and forward-thinking artistry—like the true Capricorn-Aquarius cusp she is—to establish herself as a multifaceted creative. Sparoh’s first project, HO RAPS, a 7-track EP was a war-cry for radical self-love. The project, like all of Sparoh's art—a distinct blend of poetry, melody, dance, and dynamic visuals—reminds the misfits, outcasts, rebels, and dreamers that they’re also worthy of love. She's currently gearing up to release her next EP, Flying Goats, later this spring and recently debuted "Demons" off the upcoming project.
