Siimbiie Lakew
A third culture kid raised in New York, New Jersey and Ethiopia, Siimbiie Lakew (formally known as SIIMBA LIIVES LONG) is just as familiar with the lions of the streets as he is with the lions of the jungle. Since planting roots in Brooklyn, NY, Siimbiie has gone from sleeping on the trains to headlining his own national tour, supported artists like Rae Sremurred, Ty Dolla Sign, Cam’ron and amassed millions of streams on his first projects. Known for his iconic appearance, stunning visuals, and breathtaking live performance Lakew took time off of music for the year 2020 to focus on activism work and rebuilding black communities all over America. Re-emerging out of what has been a reflective time for most of us Lakew has made a slight change to his artist name to honor his family. Fresh off a release on Lion Babes new album, the artist is now ready to emerge back into the music scene with art that he feels is an unfiltered, accurate representation of how he feels and his perspective on life.
