Winkie are a New York outsider duo -- described as having a '...darkwavy shoegaze vibe; a description that doesn't do full justice to Winkie's vampire bite...' -- they have been compared to artists such as Killing Joke, Cindy Sherman, The Cranes, Suicide, and The Jesus & Mary Chain. They have developed a solid reputation as a unique live band with a mix of visuals and distorted electronics/noise.

Winkie recently released a new album, titled 'Here Comes Success', that was mixed and mastered at Machines With Magnets. The release has been supported with videos for the tracks “Burn The Town Down” and "This Place is Death". The band have also put their signature visual style on a few recent live streams: 'The Rooftop' for Seattle’s Strict Tempo, 'The Stairwell' for Dark Spring Boston, 'The Snowscape' for Eventually It Will Kill You (Colorado), and 'Contrast' for Black Celebration (Philadelphia).
