Janine
Born in East Los Angeles, Janine grew up influenced by artists like Vicente Fernandez and Morrissey to craft the perception that inspired a diverse musical narrative where tradition and edginess unite. Commencing as a mariachi musician at the age of 9 in Mariachi Sol de Mexico’s juvenile mariachi, Janine expanded her musical compass and went on to record and perform almost all genres of Latin music along the course of her adolescence. She then opened shows for artists such as Jose Feliciano, Pancho Barraza and Los Tucanes de Tijuana, etc, and after participating in “La Voz USA” garnered the admiration of her then coach and mentor Wisin of Wisin & Yandel. Most recently, Música Mexicana label: Rancho Humilde added Janine to their roster with whom she realized her first EP “Mujer a la Mexicana,” paying homage to women and her roots. She is currently soon to release her original music-a cultivation of her musical journey displayed in way that envelops both past and present.
