His early premiere arrived doing rap battles in middle school which eventually led to an opportunity where he got to rap to Jadakiss. His music influenced much of Ward's creativeness, and he gave him tips on harnessing his style.

Jaymes Ward's ingenuity expanded vastly when he started experimenting with melodic vocals. During this time, he started writing and singing songs inspired by various artists he grew up listening to. His mellow voice served as an attraction for music labels which led to him being signed. His diverse discography features tracks that come off as sounds done by a number of different mainstream artists with his own unique spin.
