Dougie D is an American rapper from Missouri City,Texas, located just southwest of Houston. Born Douglas Hordge, he grew up with a family of musicians around him. His love of music comes from his parents always singing and playing music throughout his home. Dougie and fellow Missouri City native,
Z-Ro have been rapping since they were teens. The rapper is known for his role in the group Guerilla Maab, which also starred Trae Tha Truth. Dougie's music gives listeners his perspective as a black man in America, while also sharing the wisdom he has gained on his journey through life.
Influenced mostly by Southern hip-hop legends such as U.G.K, Ghetto Boys, Street Military, 8 Ball and MJG, he learned cadence and to use his gift of rapping to provide for his family. His goal is to share what knowledge he has to help upcoming artists who are serious about doing music as a career and not just a hobby.

Currently signed to P.U.D. Entertainment, Dougie D has a project out with his friend P.T the Underboss called "Lovin My City" featuring the song "In and Out." He also has a single out from his upcoming album called "So Hard" with Kidricc James, and Bun B.
