Ras Kwame Reggae Receipe Afterparty at Flamingo Cantina
Ras Kwame is a British Musician, Radio & Event DJ and Record Producer.
He started in the music industry as a club DJ playing hip hop, R&B and reggae in the late 1990s.
During that time, Kwame took control of the turntables for artists such as Gang Starr, Public Enemy, Wu Tang Clan and the Fugees.
Kwame's production work via his M-Dubs and Orange Hill monikers have seen fruitful collaborations with the likes of Busy Signal, Tyga, Vybz Kartel, Mr.Eazi, Kano, Stylo G, Demarco, Fatman Scoop and many more.
With a radio career that's taken in lengthy stints with BBC1Xtra and BBCRadio1 succeeding the legendary broadcaster John Peel, Ras currently presents his new show brand ‘The Reggae Recipe’ on Capital Xtra (UK) featuring the freshest dancehall and reggae plus interviews with established and rising talents and personalities on the scene.
Ras also presents the weekend breakfast shows on Capital Xtra Reloaded (UK).
Ras has performed at events worldwide including Glastonbury, Outlook Festival Croatia, Rototom Festival Spain, Boomtown Festival, Notting Hill Carnival, The Roundhouse and The Melkweg with concert sets for Amy Winehouse, Sean Paul, Damian Marley, Koffee, Popcaan and more.
