Density512 is a chamber orchestra and collective of brave and open musicians who champion contemporary programming. We connect with the people of Austin, TX by producing imaginatively curated experiences, amplifying the voices of groundbreaking and emerging artists, and cultivating interdisciplinary collaborations.

Since entering Austin’s new music scene in 2016, Density512 has presented numerous performances featuring world premieres and the works of living composers. Throughout that time, Density512 has remained committed to bringing music into Austin’s community spaces including breweries, children’s museums, art galleries, co-working spaces, restaurants, and theaters. Density512 participated in Fast Forward Austin’s 2018 new music festival, in nine performances of Ragnar Kjartansson’s kinetic sculpture S.S. Hangover at The Contemporary Austin, and as featured performers in the Blanton Museum of Art’s Soundspace series. Other local collaborations have included projects with the Austin Chamber Music Center, Liminal Sound Series, Silent Films Out Loud, and Golden Hornet.
