Madison McFerrin at St David's Historic Sanctuary
Madison McFerrin is an independent musician based in Brooklyn, NY. Her critically acclaimed a cappella EP series, Finding Foundations, led Questlove to dub her sound “soul-appella.” After garnering praise as a Pitchfork Rising Artist, she mesmerized crowds on her debut US and EU tours with her powerful one-woman show. Her 2018 SXSW performance led legendary KCRW DJ Anne Litt to remark, “there’s some sort of joy and beauty in the way that she performs that really drew me in all that much more.” Madison’s You + I EP expanded upon her a cappella sound with AFROPUNK highlighting how “lush production and instrumentation accompany her angelic voice” and The FADER noting how “warm harmonies feel effortless.” Fans agreed. The COLORS debut of her lead single “TRY” earned over 1.8M views. Despite COVID canceling her return to SXSW and 2020 touring plans, Madison continued to develop her artistry. Quarantine gave her time to hone the production skills showcased on "Hindsight" and her viral track, ”GUILTY,” which perfectly captured the mood of joy and relief following the George Floyd verdict. In 2022, Madison eagerly anticipates sharing more new music with the world.
