José María Rodríguez, “Chema”, native from Puebla, México, is the master mind behind PALMASUR; idea that was born in 2018, after merging sounds and events of the daily life of any Mexican with LoFi beats, making nostalgia the common thread of this project.

To date, Palmasur has added more than 15 million streams on digital platforms and in 2021 he was listed in the Top 10 of Billboard as one of the Latin electronic producers to watch during “Hispanic Heritage Month”.

This year he had the opportunity to be the musicalizer and DJ presenter of the first TikTok awards in Mexico.

Now, he is promoting the first single from an entire vocal album that will experiment with mixing -Regional Mexican- genres with dream pop and Lofi beats.
