In Austin, Shooks is always just around the corner. Everywhere from major venues to Austin’s buzzing coop scene Shooks’ explosive live show brings a new beat to live music’s favorite city. Led by multi-instrumentalist Marlon Sexton, Shooks mixes jittery post-punk guitars and psychedelic textures to produce their own collage of energetic sounds.

Starting as Sexton’s solo project and growing into a collaboration between Austin musicians Deven Ivy (Residual Kid), Hunter Pierce (Gastelle), Matt Erlandson (Telecom), and Colton Kincaid - Shooks’ 2021 debut EP Pet propelled the band into some of Austin’s most beloved venues and festivals.

From playing ACL Music Festival to opening for Austin favorites Black Pistol Fire at Emo’s, as well as a host of venue shows including a residency at Austin’s historic Continental Club and the Formula One race track; Shooks brings a fresh new energy to Austin’s favorite stages.

With a full length album and a series of shows in store for 2022 Shooks is one of Texas’ premier up-and-coming guitar bands.
