Liah Alonso at Saxon Pub
Liah Alonso is a Mexican-American folk/pop singer whose memorable songs and funny stories reach into heart and elevate the spirit. Liah began her eclectic musical career as a child actor in musical theater later joining rock bands in Mexico and NYC. She sharpened her musical skills playing on New York City’s subway platforms and learned the craft of songwriting through collaborations with country songwriters in Nashville and latin pop writing teams in Miami.
A ten-year veteran of the indie music scene, Liah has opened for legendary artists such as Tom Morello and Jackson Browne (at the Newport Folk Festival) and graced stages at venues like House of Blues in New Orleans and La Calaca Music Festival in Mexico. She has even performed at City Winery in New York City and during the Wanderlust Festival, which spotlights music, yoga, food and nature. She has also performed internationally in Spain, Brazil, Australia and South Africa.
Liah's latest collaboration with DJ Taz Rashid, is a positive pop album that combines her love of yoga and dance music. 3 singles have been released from the album, LOVE TO THE UNIVERSE, set to be released sometime in 2022.
