Vera Di Lecce
Italian singer, producer and performer, started her solo career in 2012. Her first experimental music was made essentially by loops, created live with her voice and an electric guitar ("Heavy Butterflies" EP, 2012/ "29 Seconds" LP, 2015). Her parents were actors and researchers of Salento’s traditional music and culture and she made her debut as a kid during their shows in the early 90s. Her vocals come from ancient traditional melodies, melting Apulian, northern European and Eastern hints, reaching an unique and fascinating flavor. After collaborating with different producers, she chose to record and work on her sound by herself, playing electronic instruments and VST, and finding a personal way to communicate through her art.
Her last singles "Painfall", "Shellbone" and "The Truth", released via the American Label Manimal Vinyl are the perfect example of her new musical production. Aggressive synths, exotic percussions and charming melodies are the main ingredients of her magic musical potions, that will enchant the audience, taking it into an electronic world made of cathartic rituals.
