JAY ASTON is a rock n roll treasure. Jay grew up in North Cornelly, South Wales. Gene Loves Jezebel were formed in London in 1980 and went on to have several successful independent singles & influential albums.
Major label success followed with songs including “Heartache", "Desire" (1986), "The Motion of Love" (1987), "Jealous" (1990) and "Break the Chain" (1993), as well as alternative club hits "Bruises" (1983), "Stephen” and "The Cow" (1985). "The Motion of Love" was the band's most successful UK single.
In 2019, Jay Aston performed solo and toured with Theatre of Hate and ChameleonsVOX thoughout North America. Jay Aston's Gene Loves Jezebel will performing this May at Cruel World Festival promoted by Goldenvoice outside the Rose Bowl alongside acts - Morrissey, Blondie, Public Image LTD and others.
