Rett Smith at Victorian Room at The Driskill
Rett Smith’s moody, dark Americana sound is steeped in his West Texas roots. After spending a few years living in New York and Nashville, he recently returned to the Lone Star State to settle into Austin where he readies the release of his new solo album 'What The Walls Cannot See’.
This is the follow up to his smoldering May 2020 LP ‘Giving Up On Quitting’ which saw Rett reveal his inner truths through remarkably personal accounts of love, heartbreak and redemption. Featuring the tracks “Better Day”, “Rattlesnakes” and “Luck Runs Deep”, ‘Giving Up On Quitting’ earned “Best New Music” nods from American Songwriter, No Depression and FLOOD Magazine among others.
Rett's latest singles have garnered praise from NPR, Kutx, Brooklyn Vegan, The Austin Chronicle and more.
