Taking inspiration from luminaries such as Kurt Elling, Christian Wiggs is a vocalist, bandleader, lyricist, producer and founder of Bandstand Presents, an Austin-based production company, committed to the inclusivity, visibility, and collaboration of jazz scenes across the nation.

Wiggs has released three studio albums and serves as the host and producer of “Off The Bandstand”, a series of conversations with the collective jazz community. In 2021, Wiggs and pianist, Thomas Wenglinski, premiered the Christian Wiggs Big Band at Monks Jazz Club: a project that combines original compositions, reimagined standards, and tunes from a wide array of genres, retrofitted to the big band sound.

Christian has shared the stage with acclaimed musicians such as Benny Benack III, Bryan Carter, Steven Feifke, Aubrey Logan, Dan “Chimy” Chmielinski, Mathis Picard, Daniel Foose, Andre Hayward, Mike Sailors, John Lake, Max Darché, Robert Edwards, Tatiana “Ladymay” Mayfield, Ron Wilkins, Becca Patterson, John Mills, Kate Kortum, Adrian Ruiz, Russell Haight, Thomas Wenglinski, Robert Ellis, David Young, and Utah Hamrick.
