MIRRROR, Japanese-American duo (Takumi & Mei) from the Bay Area met and started music together in Tokyo in 2018. Currently Takumi lives in Tokyo and Mei lives in LA. In 2019 their first EP "what it was" was also released as a vinyl with HMV Japan. Just a few months after its release, they performed at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival 2019. Along with their 2nd EP "POLARIZE" in 2020 came a short film that they wrote, co-directed, and executive produced themselves. They've been profiled on notable publications such as Nylon Japan, i-D Japan etc. and their songs used for promotional videos for Coach, Fendi and Amazon Fashion Week, as well as performing at fashion events for FILA, Birkenstock, etc., and doing editorial features for Dr. Martens and Lee. They have performed in many well-known venues in Tokyo such as WALL&WALL, Hotel Koe, WWW, Sankeys, Ginza Sony Park, including a show they opened for artist JMSN. Spotify playlist placements include New Music Friday, Slo Down, Midnight Chill; Apple Music include New Music Daily, Unwind, Pure Chill, and many more. They recently made a song for the soundtrack for the Japanese movie "Parasite in Love", which released in theaters in November 2021.
