ADOY

ADOY is a South Korean synthpop band formed in mid 2016 , when Juhwan, Zee and Dayoung met within the Seoul indie music community. The band made rough demos in Juhwan’s home in the beginning and in May 2017, they released their first EP album which was inspired by the band's own memories of youth, 'CATNIP.' It received positive reviews from the Korean media, earning them a nomination for best modern rock song for their title song ‘Grace” at the 2018 Korean Music Awards, and also topping the Korean indie CD sales chart multiple times.

In June 2018, ADOY released its second EP album, 'LOVE.' After topping the Korean Apple Music electronic chart for both album and song 'Wonder', the band started to play in bigger venues in and out of Korea. They made frequent appearances in the biggest rock festivals in Korea, and also held successful Asia tours. In late 2019, the band put out their first full-length album ‘VIVID,’ which featured some different musical colors from previous releases, like the instrumental ‘Moondance,’ collaboration work with Woo in ‘Porter,’ and Dayoung’s solo voice in ‘Swim.’

ADOY is: Juhwan (vocals, guitar) Zee (synths) Dayoung (bass, vocals) Geunchang (drums).
