Tenants
Tenants is a project founded by brothers Ryan and Grant Logan. The two grew up playing and writing music together in Sacramento, CA, shaping their sound through their close dynamic as they began playing shows and recording. After relocating to Portland, OR in 2014, the brothers wrote and released music with the group Holidae House, taking in the punchy edge of the Pacific Northwest music scene. Then came the 2020 blip. During the lull of the pandemic, they transitioned to working on a new project. Tenants emerged with the help of guitarist Nate Martin and their producer/engineer Gerhard Joost. With the addition of Michi Maestre on synth and Logan Nichols on drums, Tenants creates a sound that aims to uplift the listener. Drawing from the likes of Pink Floyd, and more contemporary artists such as My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, and Parcels, the five piece is bringing a familiar yet exciting flair to the indie scene. While their upcoming record demonstrates a crisp and refined sound reflective of the modern era, their live shows exhibit the raw energy of the classics. Tenants is set to release their debut EP in March 2022.
