"The House of Lepore" is a chosen family of Queer performance artists based in Austin, that are dedicated to bringing ballroom/vogue culture to the forefront of Central Texas. House of Lepore was founded in 2018 by matriarch and Legendary Overall Mother, Natalie "Girl6" Lepore. Because of Lepore's roots as a performance collective, House of Lepore is comprised of artists that range from burlesque dancers, musicians, DJ's, drag artists, photographers, and much much more. At House of Lepore, individuality is valued first and members are given the space to hone their craft, while providing know-how and opportunity to one another, as part of a family effort.
At the beginning of 2022, House of Lepore made history by bringing the first "Austin Vogue Nights" to Swan Dive ATX, a monthly night dedicated to ballroom where members of Austin's Queer community can learn, compete, and begin to form their own families. Once again, House of Lepore is prepared to create history by throwing the very first SXSW Official Ball.
