Jimmy October is a national award-winning singer/songwriter from the island Trinidad & Tobago.
Born L’shun Emmanuel in East Trinidad, the young performers already inspiring career is proof of his rich talent and unique sound. O has opened shows for J. Cole, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Major Lazer.
He had his first international release in 2017 on Steve Aoki’s album ‘KOLONY’, with the single ‘No Time’. Since then, Jimmy October has leaned heavily into his own genre-bending New Calypso sound, after the release of his five-song EP ‘Vacation’. Him and his artistic trailblazing has been featured on FADER Magazine in 2018, and in 2019 he was named one of Complex Magazine ‘10 Artists To Watch from Trinidad And Tobago’.
