Beachtape

“Consider it a shoo-in on your next playlist if you love Pavement“ - Consequence Of Sound

They refer to their own music as slop-rock.
Hailing from Brighton UK, Beachtape, is the project of Rory Sear, Leo Kenyon, Robbie Carman and Andy Kemp.
Following the releases of their debut Hold Music EP, double A-sided 7” (Fix It Up / Figure It Out) and the recent Bigger Picture EP which charted top 50 in US College radio charts, Beachtape are set to release their debut album in Spring 2022.
The four-piece occupy a similar space to Happyness or Willie J Healey in recourse to the stilted, slacker-Americana of Pavement, Wilco and Dinosaur Jr, with a distinct beach-pop sheen adopted from their Brighton base.
With champions at the likes of The Independent, Consequence of Sound, DIY, Clash and The Line of Best Fit at press, as well as live shows with YOWL, Bloody Knees and Egyptian Blue
they’re making a name for themselves as a vital act in the indie scene.
