Pearla

Pearla is the project of Nicole Rodriguez, a Brooklyn-based songwriter blending mystical twinges of folk, pop, and psychedelic production into one warm and consuming sonic experience. She released her debut EP ‘Quilting & Other Activities’ in 2019 on Egghunt Records (Lucy Dacus) and Mirror Music Group (Gang of Youths, Middle Kids). Her inventive lyricism, experimental production style, and intensely emotional stage presence nabbed fervent critical support from the likes of Bob Boilen of NPR All Songs Considered who called it “"music worth getting lost in ... stunning, ethereal, beautiful,” The FADER who proclaimed "Pearla’s lush and discordant folk is the most beautiful kind of therapy,” Consequence of Sound, Paste, and Brooklyn Vegan among others. Pearla is due to release her highly anticipated debut full-length in 2022 on Spacebomb Records.
