Red Rum Club
Red Rum Club are a sextet from Liverpool. Through extensive touring and regular releases, they have built a huge following - a measure of this is that they have sold out numerous venues nationwide including Liverpool Students Guild 2,300 capacity 2 months in advance. Since the return of live, they have supported Circa Waves on a UK tour, plus are currently embarking on a UK headline tour with many sold out shows.
Glastonbury 2019 for BBC introducing was a pivotal moment in the band's journey, as they packed out the BBC Introducing stage and had Huw Stephens (BBC R1) championing the band after an exhilarating live performance. Red Rum Club headlined the This Feeling stage at many Summer festivals in 2019 including Truckfest, Tramlines, YNOT, and Isle of Wight. Support slots have included The 1975, Jungle, Blossoms and Miles Kane.
The band’s debut album ‘Matador’, released to rave reviews, went in at #47 in the UK Official Album Chart and #5 in alternative chart. Their ‘Live In Liverpool’, released Feb 2020, went in at #12 in official UK Vinyl Chart. Their 2nd album The Hollow of Humdrum’ reached #29 in the UK Midweek Album Chart. Their 3rd studio album is out in November.
