Finding Balance: From O-Line to Pandemic Frontline
The only active NFL player to graduate from medical school, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif was the first player to opt out of the 2020 NFL season because of concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. His next move was to return home to Montreal to work in a long term care facility. Laurent would go on to be named one of Sports Illustrated’s Sportspeople of the Year in 2020. In this session led by Pro Football Hall of Fame journalist and longtime NFL media personality Andrea Kremer, the pair will discuss balancing life as a professional athlete and a med student, as well as finding his purpose in life.
