A New Digital Humanism: Art + Tech + Policy
It often seems as if policymakers, technologists, and artists don’t share the same reality. Each in their own way shapes the parameters of our digital world. But it is pivotal that we create a common understanding of what it means to be human in the age of AI. A new digital humanism encourages interdisciplinary collaborations that break up the silos of art + tech + policy in order to assure that future technologies are designed and employed for the benefit of all. Prominent representatives from Europe and Silicon Valley discuss how artists can catalyze a human-centered approach to tech development that emphasizes more transparency and inclusion. Stay for the adjacent eVe award ceremony by art + tech network The Grid, honoring an artwork meshing human and artificial creativity.
