Pass the Rock: Sports, Music, Work, & Equality

Mar 16, 2021

10:15am – 11:10am CT

Some of today's biggest sports and music stars have become today's biggest moguls. Why is that? It's not just about big endorsement deals and heaps of cash to play with - athletes and musicians are trained to see multiple pathways in front of them, shrug off bad performances, and practice relentlessly. Similarly, businesses can achieve better equity and racial diversity if they let talent speak for itself - a playbook we can all follow. There's an important history of dissent within competitive fields like Sports and Music that inspires positive change everywhere. This panel will explore the links between athletic and creative success, the power of diverse and communicative teams, and the drive to succeed in business - all through the lens of passion and education.
